Success Law: Get out of your Comfort Zone

Last night I attended my first “Hot” Yoga Class at a new studio. I have been wanting to try it for a long time, but it was not offered at the studio that I usually go to. And I was comfortable at the studio I went to all the time!

Deciding to try out a new studio last night, I could feel my own apprehension. “What will the studio be like”, “will I find it easily”, “who will the instructor be”, “how will it be different”?!

I was nervously excited about this new venture! As it turned out, I found the studio very easily, parking was a breeze, and there were only 4 people in my class! And the heat in that room made me sweat, and relax immediately!

Driving home afterwards in my sweat soaked clothes, I felt powerful and calm and excited. Having pushed myself out of my comfort zone to try something new, I gained access to a cool new yoga studio that I can see fast becoming my favorite.

Get out of your comfort zone and try something new today. Opportunities are waiting for you. Namaste.

Balance.

Not too much. Not too little. Start getting things “just right” in your life by balancing, and prioritizing.

Been spending a lot of time at work? No worry’s. Just make sure you take some extra time to relax, have fun, and spend time with your family and friends. Been having too much fun lately? That’s ok too, but you still have to make up the time that you missed from the other things that require effort in your life. You can’t just slack off or you will not get the results you want in your life. Ensure that you have a healthy balance, and you will never feel ripped off when you have to put extra effort into other things in your life temporarily. Namaste.

On Reorganizing.

assumed that I must have left it somewhere last winter. I was sad.

Around the same time, I added to my to-do list to do all my filing and reorganize my office space as soon as some time came available. I had been putting off that project for too long, and I was not really looking forward to it, but I knew it had to be done. (unfinished projects are in your subconscious mind and they can stress you out even when you are not consciously thinking about them!)

In order to get our Year End completed for our businesses, our accountant required several items to be sent to her yesterday, so I was forced to re-prioritize my schedule and get the filing and clutter cleansing done. I was rather annoyed that I was being forced to do this task when I had lots of other things I would rather be doing!

In keeping with my clutter rules, I pulled everything out of my desk for assessment. And guess what? I found my favorite black hat! My filing is now complete and my desk area is clutter free and looks beautiful. And my year end is complete. Now that’s what I call a good day.

The Universe works in mysterious ways alright. I simply had to take action to find my hat, and put it out there that I wanted it! Then I wrote down the office task and the Universe assisted me in scheduling this task when it was required. And voila, my hat is returned to my head!

I love and trust the Universe. Namaste.

Meet my Coach Series, Part 1

I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the people who have influenced me in a positive way in my life.  I will call all of these people coaches, as they have “schooled” me in some way or another, and have been influential in supporting me to where I am today.  I hope you enjoy getting a closer look at my network.

The first person I want to introduce you to is a Powerful Woman who has literally always been there for me.  She has been caring for and supporting me in my life efforts for as long as I can remember, and even longer than that.  She has been, and continues to be a mentor, a friend, and the grandmother of my beautiful daughters.  She is my Mommy, Janet Legere, and I am so proud to introduce her to you!

Janet is an online marketing guru and mentor, and she has used the internet to fulfill her lifestyle dreams for years.  If you are thinking about marketing yourself, or your business online,  you need to hook up with Janet.  Check out her online mentoring site at www.contactlistbuilder.com.

It is so hard to call her Janet, when Mom is all I have ever called her!

With Janet’s help, I have successfully set up all of my own websites and learned a tonne about online marketing.  And if I can do it, so can you.  Start using the internet to get your product, or yourself,  out to the world today!

No matter what my issue is, be it a website glitch, a babysitting nightmare, or a friendly ear for listening, my mom has always been there for me.   And I want to take this opportunity to thank her for all she has done for me.

Have an abundant day!

Increase work wealth.

Buy an attractive plant for yourself and put it in your workspace. Place the plant on the far left corner of your desk, along with something red.  If the plant is in a red plant pot, perfect.  You can also add some red with a simple ribbon around your pot, or another object that pleases you.  If you do not have a desk in your workspace, no problem.  From the door into your workspace, place the plant in the farthest left corner.  Add some red here also.  Plants clean the air, they make you feel good, and they may just increase your wealth at work.  Namaste.

On Christmas Giving.

Christmas day is fast approaching, and I can feel the excitement oozing out of my children.  They are so excited about their presents.  Living in North America, it is so easy to forget how lucky we are to have the lifestyles that we do, compared to other people living in impoverished countries around the world.  Christmas is the season of giving, and I would like to encourage you to think outside of your own family for gift giving this year.  There are a lot of people less fortunate than you, and helping someone out can really make your heart swell with joy.  In our family, we always choose a charity or family to give to each year.  We “give up” our gift exchange and give the money we would have spent to someone who needs it more than we do.  I would encourage you to find a way to give to someone less fortunate than you this Christmas.  Help someone have a Christmas Dinner, or help a family buy a present for their children.  Make food bank donations, or donate your time to help out an organization.  Think about giving and helping and sharing, and together we will make this holiday season brighter for everyone.  Namaste.

Don’t Worry Be Happy

We all know the popular song, Don’t Worry Be Happy.  When my own mother sang this song at a recent karaoke party, it took the song to a whole new level of positive! The essence of this song is the key to ending your anxieties, and finding your balance of happiness. Stop worrying over things you cannot control.  Control the things you can to the best of your abilities.  And then decide to be happy.  Have a joyous Saturday Night everyone.  Namaste.

A thought on Christmas.

Christmas is the time of year that everyone starts feeling overwhelmed and stressed out! Cookies to bake, cards to send, houses to decorate, shopping, parties, kids concerts….Whew! I am exhausted just thinking about it! My advice today is to stop! Christmas is being marketed to you as a consumer, and you do not have to buy into it! If you can do all of the things you feel you have to for Christmas, without feeling stressed, perfect. But if you are already anxious about it, let it go. Christmas will come and go whether you get everything you feel pressured to get done or not. And why not rethink Christmas? For me, the best part about Christmas is that my husband gets a week off because his work closes. And our kids are also off school. So, we get a whole week to spend together as a family. Our focus is on sharing this time with our family, eating, drinking and being merry! Let the stress of Christmas go, and just enjoy it. No one is judging you on your efforts this Christmas, so put some focus back on your family and friends. Namaste.

It’s your choice.

“Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.”
Wayne Dyer
Sometimes things don’t go the way you planned.  Don’t feel sorry for yourself.  And don’t expect others to feel sorry for you either.  Instead, choose to grab life by the horns and get back on the saddle for another ride! Take back the control that you almost gave away, and deal with the situation in the most positive way possible…take action.  Accept the reality of the situation, and figure out what to do next.  Start with changing your thinking…life goes on and it is really not that bad.  Have faith that there is a rainbow around the next corner and the gold is there waiting for you if you can just choose to get there.  Namaste.
