Clear some clutter.

Pick 1 small area in your home or office today that has been driving you crazy.   Spend 10 minutes removing the clutter from that area and reorganizing it.  Set a timer for 10 minutes and be done when it rings.  Stand back and smile at the fact that you just fixed one thing that was driving you crazy! Namaste.

The Pursuit.

“Everyone needs a certain amount of money. Beyond that, we pursue money because we know how to obtain it. We don’t necessarily know how to obtain happiness.”
Gregg Easterbrook

Make to do lists. And do them.

“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
Bruce Lee

Make time in your life by being more efficient.  Make your “to do” lists the night before so that your brain can subconsciously work on getting it all done while you are sleeping. You will sleep better knowing what to expect from your day, and you will wake up feeling ready to take on the world! Your “to do” list should be detailed and include everything that will need to be done for the one day. Schedule your time everyday, and be sure to include work, personal, school and family stuff all on one calendar that you can keep with you at all times.  Use a daily calendar that has time slots on it so that you can see just how much time you have to get things done.   There is only so much time in the day, so make good use of every minute.  Be sure to schedule in some time just for you… you deserve it.

Plan to do things, and then do them.  This is the secret to success.  Namaste.

Don’t be afraid to ask.

Think you deserve a raise? Wanting that promotion? Want more help around the house? Need a break from the kids?

Go ahead and ask for it! Do not be afraid.  When you ask, ensure that your are prepared.  Write down on a piece of paper what you plan to say, and then practice it.  Think of all of the possible outcomes, and how you might respond.

No matter what response you get, asking is the important part.  Asking is action, and action produces results.  You may get ‘no’ as an answer, but do not be discouraged.  You have made yourself think, and you have gotten someone else to think about you in a different way also.

The Universe works in mysterious ways, so be accepting of the outcome and just keep the action going!

Monday…

How did it feel to wake up this morning? Did you wake up excited about the start of a new week? Did you wake up feeling anxious and grumpy?

Get control over your Monday! If you woke up feeling anxious and grumpy, there are 2 things you can do to change that.

1. Change what you are doing in your life immediately.  If the thought of going into your job today gives you chest pain, and you continue down that road for long enough, it will consume you.  Do not be afraid of change.  Embrace it.

2. Change your thinking about what you do!

“The secret of happiness is not in doing what one likes, but in liking what one does.”
James M. Barrie

If you simply must do what you are doing, but it has been leaving a foul taste in your mouth, you need to change your thinking.  You do have control! Start by changing every negative thought you have about what you do into a positive one.  Stop complaining about where you are, especially if you are not prepared to make a change.  Be thankful for what you have and you will start enjoying it!

There are only 2 choices.  Start your Happy Monday plan today.

Namaste!

Garden your Friendships

Do something nice for a friend today.

“A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often – just to save it from drying out completely.” Pam Brown

Guilt is a gonner.

Do not allow yourself to feel guilt.  You are an amazing person, and no matter what decisions you have made, you need to forgive yourself and move on.  Guilt is a negative emotion that will make it easier for you to repeat unwanted behaviors.  Start telling yourself that you are amazing, and you will soon start believing it.

Spiritual Sunday

Take 5 minutes today to meditate. Sit on the floor in a cross legged position. Sit up tall, and place your hands face up on your lap. Take 5 deep, cleansing breaths, and then close your eyes. Now try to quiet your mind and focus on the space in between your thoughts. Focus on your breathing, and the quietness inside your mind. When thoughts enter into your head, do not judge them, just let them go, and refocus on your breathing. Before you open your eyes, say something in your head that you are thankful for. Enjoy the amazing feeling of peace and calm that this 5 minutes can bring. Namaste!

Tasty Tuesday

Make sure you eat breakfast every day.  Your body has been starved through the night, and it needs the immediate nourishment that breakfast gives.  Eating anything within the first hour of being awake will kick start your metabolism, which will help you lose weight and give you the energy you need to start your day off right.  So, go ahead and make yourself a piece of toast, or get a bowl of cereal.  Adding a fruit will make the energy last even longer.  What could be easier than a banana?   Feed your body, and you will feed your soul.  Have an abundant day!
