Success Secrets. Part 1.

Know what you want.  Those of you who have done my Planet Do-it Chapter/Seminar will have a good idea of what you really want.  If you do not know what you want, for now just think of something that you’ve always wanted to do but have restricted yourself in some way.  (I don’t have enough schooling, money, time, courage to do that).  The more ridiculous your goal appears to be to you, the better.  Write that thing down.

Next Step.

Be on the lookout for opportunities.  The Universe will always give you what you need, and what you have asked for, but it may not be packaged up the way you thought.  So be aware of everything going on around you.  Ask lots of questions, and listen carefully.

Make to do lists. And do them.

“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
Bruce Lee

Make time in your life by being more efficient.  Make your “to do” lists the night before so that your brain can subconsciously work on getting it all done while you are sleeping. You will sleep better knowing what to expect from your day, and you will wake up feeling ready to take on the world! Your “to do” list should be detailed and include everything that will need to be done for the one day. Schedule your time everyday, and be sure to include work, personal, school and family stuff all on one calendar that you can keep with you at all times.  Use a daily calendar that has time slots on it so that you can see just how much time you have to get things done.   There is only so much time in the day, so make good use of every minute.  Be sure to schedule in some time just for you… you deserve it.

Plan to do things, and then do them.  This is the secret to success.  Namaste.

Be Honest.

Be honest with yourself and everyone else in your life.  Being honest with yourself means to always respect and listen to yourself.  You know deep inside of you what is right for you, and what is not, and also what you really want out of life.  Listen to yourself.  You know what is best for you.

Be honest with others, and always tell the truth.  Be straight up with the people in your life.  Even if you feel like you are going to hurt someone’s feelings, be honest in the most tactful way possible.  You can only control your own feelings.

If you are honest, you will develop an amazing sense of trust in yourself.  Others will respect you and look up to you for being true to yourself and to them.

Love Yourself!

Here is my daughter Trinity.  She made this shirt the other morning for herself, and then proceeded to wear it for 3 days straight!

She is demonstrating here that you are never too young, or too old, to start loving yourself.  It seems easier to love yourself when you are young, and you have not had the experience of messing up or making mistakes in your life.  No matter what your experience, or your hardships, today is a new day.  The past is just that… past, gone, done.  Today is a new day, so start today with loving every piece of yourself.  Forgive yourself and open yourself up to the love that you have already inside of you.

So start proclaiming “I am the Best!” everyday. Because you are.  You deserve to love yourself and you are worth it.  Namaste!

Don’t be afraid to ask.

Think you deserve a raise? Wanting that promotion? Want more help around the house? Need a break from the kids?

Go ahead and ask for it! Do not be afraid.  When you ask, ensure that your are prepared.  Write down on a piece of paper what you plan to say, and then practice it.  Think of all of the possible outcomes, and how you might respond.

No matter what response you get, asking is the important part.  Asking is action, and action produces results.  You may get ‘no’ as an answer, but do not be discouraged.  You have made yourself think, and you have gotten someone else to think about you in a different way also.

The Universe works in mysterious ways, so be accepting of the outcome and just keep the action going!

Help Others to Help You.

When you teach someone else, it actually helps you to learn the skill at a deeper level.  Take what you have learned from books and courses and apply it in your life by teaching it to someone else.   If you are teaching people amazing things, you are going to help them out immensely.  You will also be helping yourself to grow and develop more.  Knowing you have helped someone  will make your heart swell with joy.  That is what it’s all about.  Namaste!

Get Christmas Started.

It is almost that time of year again.  Be prepared for Christmas this year, and start something small today.  Make a list of all of the people that you will want to buy gifts for.  If you can think of any ideas for gifts, write them beside that person’s name.  Don’t worry about gift ideas if you don’t have them right now, just the names are important.  This task should only take 5 minutes, but it will do a lot to get you in the right frame of mind.  Writing things down really has an amazing impact, and suddenly the right gifts for the right people will start showing up for you as if by magic.  Be ready to be prepared this year! Namaste.

Have Faith.

“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”
Saint Augustine

Have faith in yourself and the Universe.  You have the ability to tap into the Universe, and the Universe will always provide.  Start by having faith in your own abilities and dreams.  Figure out what you passionately want in life, and have enough faith to know in your heart that you will be able to have what you want.  See your dreams vividly in your own head, and soon those dream will be tangible in your life.  Namaste.

Remember.

Remember someone today who has done something special for you in the past.  If possible, send them a note, text, email or give them a phone call and tell them how much you appreciated what they did.  If contact with them is not possible, write them a note in your notebook and think fondly of them in your head.  Now, pay that thoughtful act forward and do something special for someone today, and everyday.  Namaste!
